Packaging is part of the product specification. The vial, stopper, crimp, label, kit configuration, and transport pack should be agreed alongside the material and documentation requirements.
Define the primary presentation
Confirm vial size, nominal fill, closure style, cap color, and whether the project needs unlabelled, standard-labelled, or custom-labelled presentation. Visual preferences should not override compatibility and handling requirements.
Control label information
The approved label should match the agreed material name, specification, batch reference, storage or handling statement, and project-specific caution language. Artwork version control is especially important when multiple formats are produced together.
Review the shipment configuration
Secondary packaging, vial protection, quantity per box, tamper evidence, and outer-carton identification should be confirmed before release. Destination and carrier requirements may affect the final packing plan and must be verified for each shipment.
Specifications, documentation, facility roles, logistics, and destination requirements should be confirmed for the exact material and order under discussion.
